What to do when you're stuck in the mud

 HELPFUL INFO FOR LATE PLANTING
Since more than 60% of corn in Michigan has not been planted yet, many are asking if seeding rates should be change. The short answer is no. Read more here. 

When it rains it pours! Check out this article which walks through options available where field crops are not yet planted because of poor planting conditions. 

Consider cover crops to protect and build prevented planting acres.
Suppressing Fusarium head scab in wheat with fungicides

Wheat fields are beginning to show signs of head emergence. This marks the time to consider applying fungicides to reduce the risk of head scab and leaf diseases. Learn more here. 

MSU Extension recommends utilizing the Fusarium head scab risk assessment tool as a prediction model for the level of risk.
