MAC in a Moment

June 12, 2019
The MAC Board of Directors meets quarterly to produce resources and tools, monitor progress, and plan for the work ahead. We salute Board Members' dedication and leadership in advancing quality assessment practices and systems.

MAC Board Retreat Highlights
The MAC Board of Directors convened last month at Treetops Resort in Gaylord for its annual retreat to reflect on recent work and to plan strategic next steps for the organization. During the two-day event, Board members and committees:
  • self-assessed their own familiarity with the work of the MAC (earning high marks!)
  • examined work initiatives from the MAC's 2019-2021 strategic plan through the lens of a new continuous improvement model
  • advanced the work of MAC committees (Professional Learning, Assessment Resource Development, Knowledge & Practice)
  • held an annual business meeting to approve new and returning board members, review finances, and plan for upcoming meetings and events
Of course, we also made time for food and fun, including a rousing round of Karaoke (complete with performance assessment rubrics and prizes) planned by Board Member Steven Snead of Oakland Schools.

Highlights from 2018-19
One thing became apparent as the MAC Board reflected on achievements of 2018-19: the MAC community and staff have been busy! Click the image below to see highlights and points of pride from 2018-19.
