Appointment of District Commissioner
for Wellingborough

Following a search and interview process in May, on Tuesday 4 June, the County Appointments Advisory Committee formally approved the appointment of Jonathan Marriott as the new DC for Wellingborough District.
 
Jonathan is currently a GSL and Deputy DC within the District and will take up his appointment on Saturday 8 June.
 
Jonathan is welcomed to his first county role, and I'm sure everyone will wish him well in this new and challenging role of District Commissioner.

AGM Time

It’s AGM time, so can we please remind Scout Groups to make sure Compass is updated in respect of the following;

• Create Compass records for any adult that becomes a part of your Executive Committee (parents/community representatives) who are not currently recorded as a member or associate member
• All leaders who are on Executive Committees should have this additional responsibility recorded on Compass

We have excellent Trustee (Executive Committee) insurance as a part of our standard insurance, but let’s make sure we record the people we want to be covered.

All members of the Executive Committee should complete Module 1 Ex training as soon as possible.  This is available as an attendance course and online.

This is slightly different from the standard Module 1 and needs to be added to an individual’s Compass profile (this will be completed by the Training Advisor).
