What's happening, Charlotte?
As a kid, I didn’t know much about Prince Nelson besides the guitar and his eccentric, androgynous behavior. As I got into middle and high school, that's when I really started to listen to Prince and understand how talented he was.
When the classic Dave Chappelle Show skit premiered, many young people discovered him for the first time...and learned he could play basketball.
His birthday is Friday, and we talked with one of his former background singers, and North Carolina native, who is part of the tribute event celebrating the music icon. Happy birthday, Prince!
