June is Pride month! This month is dedicated to celebrating, spreading awareness, and advocating for the LGBTQ+ community and its allies. The New Beginnings Center has long championed itself as an safe space with the entire staff either identifying as LGBTQ+ or as allies.

So whether you are out and proud, taking your time to come out, are questioning and are unsure, or are an ally... we celebrate and support you all. You are all beautiful, have a right to love who you love, and a right to be who you truly are.

Rainbow Resilience
An LGBTQ+ group for teens!
Every Monday from 4-5:30pm

The New Beginnings Center is pleased to announce our Rainbow Resilience Skills Teen Group, a 12 week learning group for LGBTQ+ teens. This group is designed to support our local LGBTQ+ youth community on their unique, individual journeys towards wholeness, self-esteem and self-expression in a safe, inclusive, nurturing space. DBT skills are integrated into group curriculum.

Facilitator Melanie Moir, AMFT, brings her leadership as an associate therapist who specializes in LGBTQ+ therapy and support services.

Group members offer supportive feedback, understanding, and empathy for one another while building a group culture of positive socialization and acceptance. Ages 13-18 welcome. Clinical intake and a group contract is required to attend.

Healing Through Movement:

A Two Day Workshop and More!

Cortical Field Re-Education (CFR) is a system of healing through learning that increase attention and heightens perception. This new kinesthetic input communicates to the nervous system what it is habitually doing out of awareness and creates effective lasting change.

This gentle movement workshop will teach you how to recognize and rewire physical and behavioral patterns for pain-free function and pleasure.

Two Day Workshop:
Friday, June 14, 5:30-9PM
Saturday, June 15, 9AM-5PM for new and continuing students
(Next dates: September 20-21, same time schedule)
Where: The New Beginnings Center, Suite R
Cost: Day 1: $125. Day 2: $250 or $350 for both days

Evening Sessions
When: Wednesdays from 5:30-7PM
Next dates: June 12, July 24, August 28, September 18, October 23, November 20
Where: The New Beginnings Center, Suite R
Cost: $50

Staff Spotlight ~ Angela Rukule, LMFT!

We are so excited to welcome Angela as our Clinical Director
at The New Beginnings Center!

Angela M. Rukule, LMFT has been practicing in the fields of addiction, trauma, sports therapy, and grief for over thirty years. She has worked with the Visiting Nurses Association in Hospice programs, has educated clinicians on understanding the process of grief and has incorporated her knowledge of life transition to apply to the treatment of addiction. She has collaborated with the physicians of professional sports teams providing athletes and their families with therapeutic assistance through traumatic transitions. Angela was the Primary Therapist at Harmony Place, a dual diagnosis women’s residential program for over seven years. Most recently, Angela co-founded and served as co-owner and clinician for inner+actions, IOP where she applied her passion for working with trauma to patients with co-occurring disorders.

Angela combines her experience in trauma and blends it with her expertise in addiction to provide clients with a comprehensive treatment plan for the recovery of the whole person. She has always recognized that addressing the underlying core psychological issues is essential to achieving successful healing and well-being.

The New Beginnings Center offers an Intensive Outpatient Program and Outpatient Services to help you get started on your path to recovery from anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, body image issues, and beyond. In a safe, supportive environment you will experience tools and wisdom to assist you on your healing journey.
