Shaving In Memory Of Jimbo
Congratulations to Meagen and Andrew Davis for their wonderful effort organising an online fundraiser (through the ‘Everyday Hero’ platform) in memory of their father/father-in-law James Davis. The campaign included an incentive, if their fundraising target was reached, Meagen would shave her head and Andy the same with the addition of his beard. Their messaging through the campaign had a dedicated focus "We don't just want to fundraise, we want to get the conversation started about skin health. We want everyone to be aware of the damage caused by sun exposure and understand the prevalence of skin cancer in their region. We want everyone to be proactive and seek regular skin checks. And we want everyone to understand and recognise changes in their own skin and to seek treatment immediately.
Skin cancer is preventable, if only we take the steps for prevention!"
