Calling all interested in auditioning for Newsies!
Marquee Mainstage will be having an audition masterclass taught by Newsies directer, Colin, on Wednesday at 5PM. All YOU have to do is come to the studio with your 32 bars (and resume if you have one), then we will take care of the rest! If you aren't signed up for an audition slot, we will be helping with that as well!

With a heart pounding score, live orchestra, and actors of all ages to tell the story through song and dance, Marquee is excited to SEIZE THE DAY with Newsies being our inaugural Marquee Mainstage Production!

Teens ages 13-18 should register HERE and sign up for an audition time-slot by emailing marqueemainstage@gmail.com. Note that all teens will be cast in the show.

Newsies (Grades 9 and Up, plus one role for a 10 y/o boy)
They delivered the papers, until they made the headlines... Newsies, the smash-hit, crowd-pleasing musical from Disney is making its way to Marquee! A two-time Tony Award-winning show, Newsies has audiences and critics alike calling it “a musical worth singing about!” (The New York Times). Filled with one heart-pounding number after another, it’s a high-energy explosion of song and dance you don’t want to miss.

What: For audition: Prepare a 32 bar cut in style of show/character and bring taps!
Also please bring headshot & resume upon arrival.
- Les Auditions for ages 8+ & Featured Dancers and makeups: June 7 by appt.
- Vocal Call: 4-6 PM
- Dance Call: 6-7:30 PM (Everyone)
- Auditions for Ages 14+: June 8th, 2-7pm by appt.
- Vocal Call: 2-4 PM
- Dance Call: 4-5:30 PM (Everyone)
Callbacks: Sun June 9th, 2-7pm
Rehearsals: Mon, Weds, Thurs, Fri (5:30pm-9pm) *NOTE TIME CHANGE*
