PTO Full Board Meeting
The Driscoll PTO will be holding our final Full Board Meeting of the school year on Monday, June 3rd, from 8-9 AM in the Driscoll Cafeteria.  We will be discussing the schedule of events for the 2019-2020 school year, open volunteer positions within the PTO (we are looking for help with DASA, Early Release Movies, and the Spring Fair), and more  All PTO Board Meetings are open to anyone in the Driscoll community, and offer a great way to see what your PTO is doing for you.  Remember, every Driscoll parent is a member of the PTO!

"First Tuesday" Coffee with the PTO with Mr. Kirdahy
Please join us on Tuesday, June 4th from 8-9 AM in the Driscoll Cafeteria for our monthly "First Tuesday" Coffee with the PTO.  This month we will be hosting Mr. Jesse Kirdahy, our Educational Technology Specialist.  Mr. Kirdahy will be discussing how our children interact with technology and the internet, and offer some "best practice" suggestions for websites, apps, games, and more.  This discussion will be focused most on 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders, but all parents are welcome.

From the Library

Summer reading is here!  Beginning Monday, classes will start coming in to learn about summer reading expectations and to preview books from the summer reading lists to make lists of books they’d like to read this summer.  Children’s librarians from the Public LIbrary of Brookline will join K-2 classes to share information about their summer reading program. Check out the Driscoll Summer Reading page here.  Be sure to check out the link to the lists of New & Noteworthy books - they are fabulous!  Want to preview some of the books in person? Pop into the library before school next week (open at 7:45).  Here is the daily schedule: Monday: Entering 7 & 8 books, Tuesday Entering 4 & 5 books, Wednesday - Entering 6, Thursday - Entering 2 and 3.

We checked out 23,000 books this year!  Checkout is now closed for student and family accounts.  All library books are due back by Friday, June 7. If your child has lost a book, please send in payment asap. The check should be made payable to the Town of Brookline with your child’s name and library book in the memo line.  Thank you for helping keep the library full of books!

Happy Reading!

Ms. Reid, Librarian
