UPDATE

Dear EIT Health InnoStars friends,

Spring 2019 has brought a lot of new discussions about directions of developing EIT Health InnoStars. On the one hand we consolidated our activities around four main progressing markets – Hungary, Italy, Poland and Portugal. On the other hand as the coordinator of Regional Innovation Scheme Programme we cover almost half of Europe, including 14 EIT Health Hubs in 13 countries, where we prepare local community leaders through education and training. What this dynamic environment calls for is to find the efficient ways to bring innovative healthcare solutions to the market, but also to empower progressing regions in the EU. On 11-12. June during the Partners Assembly, together with our Partners we will decide about the Partnership Strategy of EIT Health InnoStars and the next steps that might strengthen involvement of our Partners in the most innovative healthcare projects. On 11. June our keynote speaker will be Martin Kern, Interim Director of EIT who will share his insights about the future of EIT and our role in the European Innovation Landscape. We will also take a closer look at the Business Creation, Campus and Innovation Pillars and lessons learnt after this year’s hearings and BP Call. Actually we are just in the middle of hearings, assisting our Partners onsite and of course keepeing our fingers crossed for successfull pitching.

I strongly recommend you to check our latest news regarding newly launched series of events – Morning Health Talks that gathers healthcare executives community in Budapest as well as extremely successful trainings with EIT Health RIS Hubs, which – after that - have submitted to EIT Health InnoStars over 100 innovative projects proposals. I would also like to invite you to follow our education opportunities for healthcare professionals, students, researchers, SMEs representatives as well as citizens. Together with our Partners we offer almost 40 education programmes like summer schools.

Stay tuned and follow our social media channels to learn more about our current activities.

With best wishes,
Balazs Furjes | Managing Director EIT Health InnoStars
