Form ‘E11’ Type Approval Sticker

Do you own a late MGB? Does it still have its Type Approval Sticker?
Most of these have long since disappeared but if your car still has one, Robert would like to hear from you as he is doing research.

This picture is from a 1975 Jubilee MGB GT.

Please contact me in the first instance and I will put you in touch with Robert.

Meet Ex-Workers who Built the MGB - Kimber House

A day is being organised for MGB Car Owners to meet some of the workers who built their cars.

This will take place at Kimber house on 18th August at 10:30 and is an opportunity to discuss the building of your car with the people directly involved.

The MGB Register would like a display of MGBs (ten to twenty cars).  If you would like your car to be considered for this please send me details of it, including the year, registration number, and model etc.

Everybody is welcome to attend.

The Marathon MGB Out and About in May

Petrolicious Drivers' Meeting, 12th May

The Marathon MGB featured in a select display as part of the ‘Collective’ within the Petrolicious event. The display was of eight cars by invitation - each one submitted by a car club. This was organised by Next Step Heritage in partnership with Petrolicious.

The Marathon MGB was featured in the magazine produced for the display. There was a detailed story of its discovery and restoration compiled by Andrew Coles. We have added the content of "Marathon in the Dust" to the website and this can be viewed here. Club members and staff from Next Step Heritage were on hand to discuss the cars with visitors throughout the day.

For the rest of the event, members and owners brought a wide range of historic vehicles which featured around the site and parked on the grass area adjacent to the airfield. There were further displays and an archive film showing within one of the hangars.

Don’t forget the forthcoming Super Scramble at Bicester Heritage on the 23rd June. The MG Car Club will have dedicated parking. Full details on our website www.mgb-register.org

I get to drive the Marathon MGB at the beginning of June after asking John Watson if I could take the car to the Stony Classic. This means I might have a story to tell in July - Paul Webmaster for the MGB Register.

News from the Registrar

Lost & Found

MGB: RUX 520H

This car belonged to Jason’s father and he would love to make contact with the current owner. It is a very early member of our register – No. 18 (we are now at well over 19,300!). Unfortunately we have lost contact with the car though it is listed as ‘on the road’ by the DVLA.

MGB: CLR 106T

CLR 106T.jpg
Ian, pictured above, sent us this request about his former car that is not on our Register:
“Hello,
I just wondered if you had my old MGB on your register (CLR106T)?  I’m trying to track her down as she has a SORN on her and I’m worried she is being broken for parts and I would dearly like to rescue her! Equally, if she’s being lovingly restored, it would be great to know.
I was forced to sell her in the 90’s when I lost my job and have always wanted to get her back if possible. Any information gratefully received!”

MGB: NOB 202M

Nev is hopeful of being able to find one of the B's that his Dad used to own.
“It could be a nice surprise to find it and reunite.
I grew up with one in the family, and have fond memories of being in the back on the M3, when I was about 6 years old.”

If you have any information about any of these cars please contact
