Right now I feel deeply connected with myself, my body, my friends, these trees. It's a good feeling. One that ebbs and flows. During the periods that this feeling sustains itself for weeks, it is often kickstarted by one event or moment. Then everything after that is lit up by that one previous moment and it all builds upon itself. I choose to find beauty and inspiration and connection in places I might not normally look. It's expansive. Some ways I've felt that connection expand recently:
planting in my garden, feeling the dirt
laughing so hard playing board games with friends
listening to myself
saying no
feeling the warmth of the sun on my shoulders
building a new plant table for my plants
being silly with my sweetie
talking on the phone to my best friend from high school who I hadn't talked to in ten years
scheming how to make the impossible a reality
talking on the phone to my parents
watching a young girl sitting on the museum floor drawing Andy Warhol's soup cans
sweating
lights and screens off, candles and books on at 9pm
going to a baseball game by myself
