Track and Field
Our Track and Field season came to a close yesterday with the second day of the CISVA Track and Field Championships. We had a very good season and a good finish to the year. We don’t have the final official results, but we don’t need the report to tell us that the athletes gave a fantastic effort all season and improved each Meet. Some CISVA Meet records were broken yesterday by our athletes. Sarah in grade 6 beat the 1999 record for the 1500 m race, and the grade 6 girls, (Charlotte, Jayda, Ally and Sarah) broke the Distance Medley record set in 2010! Thank you to all the students from grades 3 - 7 that participated this year and a special thank you to our head coach Ms. Beiler and our track and field coaches: Mrs. Botteselle, Mrs. Brooks, Mrs. Cutler, Mrs. Darby, Mrs. Kramer, Mr. Horner, Ms. O’Brien, Ms. O’Donovan, Mrs. Ros, Ms. Tylka, and Ms. Wong. Thank you coaches for all your time, and thanks to the huge number of parents that drove to Meets and cheered on the team.
We will recognize the Track Team at the Monday assembly at 9:10. CISVA Ribbons and medals will be given out at this time. Family are welcome to attend. The Track presentation will be over by 9:30
