Today marks four months to go until the 17th Australian Masters Games and party-time gets underway Adelaide.
The Games is known just as much for the social program as it is for the sport and this year the party will deliver an exciting entertainment lineup throughout the week, including a tribute to the piano man himself, Billy Joel.
Fresh off a huge national tour, Celebrating the Music of Billy Joel with Anthony Mara will be performing on the final night of the Games, Saturday 12 October, closing the 2019 event in style.
The full live band consists of the finest musicians around, plus state of the art sound and lighting, in a powerful show that has all the classic Billy Joel hits such as: “Piano Man”, “New York State Of Mind”, “Honesty”, “It’s Still Rock’n’roll To Me”, “Uptown Girl”, “We Didn’t Start The Fire”, “River Of Dreams” plus many more.
As always, the Games will kick off with the much-loved athlete march into the Adelaide Convention Centre welcoming everyone to the week-long festival of sport on Saturday 5 October.
Adelaide cover band Blackjack will be on hand bringing the tunes and welcoming the over 8,000 participants and their supporters to the Games. Their music ranges from ABBA and Stevie Wonder to Justin Timberlake and Beyonce and will surely get everyone moving.
