SWW Highlights...

• South West Week is without doubt the highlight of the County golfing calendar.
• It takes place at Parkstone Golf Club in Dorset this year.
• The participating counties are Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire.
• You can follow the progress of our team during the week by using the live scoring service offered by the South West Counties Golf Association (www.swcga.co.uk)
• The Champion County over the week being the one with the most match points. At Cumberwell Park in 2018, this event was won by Somerset, with Gloucestershire finishing in 2^nd place.
• On Tuesday 11^th June, the teams have a break from Match Play and compete in the South West Region Qualifying event for The English County Finals.
• Each Captain nominates six players to represent his respective County,
• In 2018 we won this event, going on to finish 2^nd to Yorkshire in the National Finals.
• The South West Counties Amateur Championship is an individual event that is played alongside the English County Finals Qualifying event on Tuesday 11^th June.
• Last year at Cumberwell Park, the event was won by Tom Sloman of Somerset with a score of 130. Mitch Waite of Filton finished just one shot behind in 2^nd place. 10 of the top 19 players in 2019 were from Gloucestershire.
