My latest book has been published: Industrial Process Scale-up: A Practical Innovation Guide from Idea to Commercial Implementation, Second Edition.

This second edition helps industrial process innovators in research, development and commercial start-ups assess the risks of commercial-scale implementation, also providing them with practical guidelines and methods to reduce the risks to acceptable levels. In addition, the book can be used in cooperation with industrial R&D people and academic researchers to shape open innovation programs, and in education as a reference book. This updated edition has the latest literature and has been expanded with a scale-up of pharmaceutical processes and their history in both academia and the process industries.

It brings together researchers and practitioners of computer-aided process engineering (CAPE) community, provides a forum to present and evaluate emerging research methods, concepts, and industrial case studies. The presented process models also often reveal novel processes. A reasonable percentage of participants will be from process industries. It is a good congress for networking and I will attend. 12th European Congress of Chemical Engineering & 5th European Congress of Applied Biotechnology - ECCE12/ECAB5, Florence, Italy, 15-19 Sep 2019

This congress always attracts academic and industrial (bio)chemical engineers from all parts of the world. The best way of quickly knowing the state of the art and future directions of this field is attending this conference. The number of participants ranges from 1200-3000 and some 20 % are in general from industry. I will attend this conference and hope to see you there.
