Join Us This Sunday!

We're delighted to announce our first Wing & A Prayer "Tea & Scones In the Garden" of the season.  Sunday, June 9 we'll offer refreshments and Amy will be flitting about like a butterfly ready to talk pollinators and sell plants.  I'll offer tea (proper black tea, herb tea tonic, ginger tea, and chai), scones & muffins, and other refreshments to keep you well fortified as you wander through the nursery and stock up.  We'll keep refreshments out until at least 11:30.  The nursery will be open 9:00-3:00.  I'll feed you and you can bring plants home to feed the pollinators.

Amy's lovingly-tended plants are ready to fill our hilltowns landscapes with food and shelter for the butterflies and bees.  Check out the facebook page (nope...it's definitely not Amy doing the facebook page; her colleague Rachel tends to that!).  There are many new varieties this year; here's the 2019 list. Whether or not you buy any plants, Amy will be happy to talk with you about how to make your garden a pollinator haven, answer questions you have, and look at bugs with you!  Stop by and browse; it's worth the trip!

And I'm very pleased to announce the return of the play "Breastless", written by our dear friend Laurel Turk.  The cast (with new cast member Trenda Loftin) and director Jeannine Haas of Pauline Productions will be at the Majestic Theater in Springfield on Saturday/Sunday June 15 & 16.  The play is "one woman's determinedly truthful exploration of body image and sexuality after a double mastectomy.  Intimate monologues are juxtaposed with wry humor, song and dance.  Anyone with a body will find something to relate to in this piece."  This is one of the most moving performances I've ever witnessed and I'm thrilled to have another opportunity to attend.  I can't recommend this play enough.  Call the Majestic at (413) 747-7797 to reserve your tickets.  And spread the word.  You'll want all of your friends and loved ones to see this.

May we all revel in these stellar spring days.  My jaw is getting tired from smiling!  May you find moments to listen to the birds, watch the butterflies, feel the sun on your face and the breeze at your back.  Blessed Be!

Amy's Nursery, Wing & A Prayer Nursery is open for business on Sundays and Mondays, 9-3, or by appointment (call 413-634-5659 or email us).  Here is the current list of plants.  All of Amy's plants have been chosen for their usefulness to bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.  We hope you will stop in for a visit and to chat about how to improve your garden habitat for pollinators.  The bees and butterflies are out and about and magic is afoot!
