Working Towards the Global Goal of eliminating Viral Hepatitis by 2030
The Canadian Hemophilia Society, Manitoba Chapter (CHS-MC) and the Canadian Liver Foundation - Manitoba Region (CLF-MR) are excited to partner again in 2019. We are holding the tournament in partnership to raise awareness that viral hepatitis is one of the leading causes of death globally, accounting for 1.34 million deaths per year – that’s more than HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis or malaria. Together, hepatitis B virus and hepatitis C cause two in every three liver cancer deaths across the world.
Proceeds from the Golf Tournament help CHS-MC and CLF-MR provide education, services, support and advocacy for our members living with hepatitis, liver disease and bleeding disorders. We hope that you will consider joining us!
At the time of registration, golfers can allocate their participation to the either CHS-MC, CLF-MR, or both!
