Liberty (April 12, 2019), 27 x 39 inches, newspaper clippings and acrylic on canvas, 2019
This painting, explores the notion of freedom in our society today and the way in which media covers current events. This work of art includes newspaper clippings from the April 12, 2019 edition of the New York Times, the day after Julian Assange was arrested. While the clippings cover many topics, a great number of them are concerning freedom of press. In a time and place when a "media outlet" or journalist can be arrested for publishing information that the public has a right to know, we should all be very concerned about what is going on. Please email me to add this or any of my other art to your collection.
