Big THANKS… and a Sneak Peek!
깊은 감사를 드립니다!
十分感谢...和先睹为快

The Dalat community is full of generous folks who love our students in so many ways! The Annual Fund is just one way that our school is blessed and supported by those who want to continue the legacy of providing the highest possible quality of education for life. Many have come together to help make it possible for a new playground for the elementary school courtyard.

School leaders have been hard at work during this school year to imagine, plan, and design a perfect play space for our youngest students that is both cost-effective and long-lasting. ES Principal Shantel Seevaratnam is excited to announce and share the plans for the new playground.

“When students return to school in August, they won’t recognize the elementary courtyard,” says Mrs. Seevaratnam. “We’ve found ways to include elements that will be fun for all ages and abilities.”

Here are some of views of the new structures, just to get us all excited. Thank you very much, Dalat parents and community, for the part you played in promoting play for our ES students!

Physical Health Exams Required Next Year for Fifth and Ninth Grade Students
5학년과 9학년 학생들, 신체 검사 요청
5-9年纪学生入学体检要求

Starting in the 2019–20 school year, Dalat will require physical exams by your children’s doctor as they enter fifth and ninth grade.

Why? In the past, the only physical required by the school was when your child entered Dalat. That means for many students, the only physical on file is when they were in early elementary school. We want to ensure that middle school and high school students are kept up to date with their immunizations, that they are physically fit to participate in higher level sports competitions, and that they are having regular wellness checks by their doctor to ensure early detection of any illnesses.

Here is a link to the physical exam form that you can take to your doctor.

Please submit the completed physical exam form in August, at the beginning of next school year, to Registrar Kim Kang, located to the left of the Main Office reception desk.
