SENIOR EVENTS

CLASS TRIP

It was an enjoyable day for the members of the class of 2019 who traveled to Cedar Point last Friday for their senior trip.

Chaperones included Paula Allshouse, math teacher; Britt Schumacher, counselor; Charlie Brown; Paula Dworakowski, attendance officer/school receptionist; Lucy; Kerry Sedelmyer, counselor; and Gina Lococo Chimera ’93, alumna and parent.

SENIOR GIFT TO THE SCHOOL

A wooden carving of the notes/lyrics to the special MPS version of the Our Father was presented to the school and was blessed by Fr. Steve Schreiber.

Each year’s graduating class typically leaves a gift in memory of their group to Mercyhurst Prep.  Since the singing of the “Our Father” is an integral part of our tradition and history, the class of 2019 decided to create a lasting memory that will hang in the foyer.
PENNSYLVANIA INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY (PIA) PARTY FOR SENIORS

The chefs of PIA prepared a special New England Seafood Boil for a party for the graduating seniors of their residence.  The event was also attended by a number of domestic students and staff members from the school.
FRESHMAN WELCOME DANCE

The incoming MPS class of 2023 were welcomed in style at the  freshman welcome dance held last Friday in the school cafeteria.  A special thank you is extended to the awesome set-up crew of current freshmen.

A great time was had by all!

PLEASE HELP

A reminder that THE JUNIOR CLASS SERVICE PROJECT is Pack for a Purpose, a program that allows travelers and individuals to donate much needed basic school supplies to those in need.

We ask that all students and their families please contribute to the worthwhile project.  In the spirit of giving, please donate to those children that are less fortunate.  We have collected a large amount of books, but we are in dire need of basic school supplies, such as pens, pencils, markers, crayons, sharpeners, erasers, colored pencils, and flashcards.  (See full list of acceptable items posted in the school.)

We encourage donations of basic items that are lightweight and easy to ship, as the Baldwin family will be shipping the items to the destination. Our goal is to fill  50 backpacks as well as donating to the Mercy Center.  We have a long way to go.  We hope you can donate!

Thank you,
Junior Class
