Moors for the Future Partnership's 2018-19 work season was our busiest year ever, including spreading 17,728 bags of heather brash and re-vegetating
86.9 hectares.

 

 

Moors for the Future Partnership has been awarded a Water Environment Grant (WEG) of nearly £2 million by Natural England for its project Building Blocks – Next Steps in Gully Blocking, a 24-month project to improve biodiversity in the South Pennines, restore the health of blanket bogs and reduce water colouration. 

 

 

Pennine Prospects, alongside Moors for the Future Partnership, have produced and distributed a leaflet to raise awareness around fire prevention and response as part of the MoorLIFE 2020 Be Fire Aware initiative.

 

Moors for the Future Partnership has teamed up with the Derbyshire Bat Group to assess the extent of the spread of bats in the Peak District and South Pennines.

 

Sheffield-based filmmakers Coldhouse Collective have announced a new relationship with the Moors for the Future Partnership through its membership of the 1% for the Planet initiative.
