As part of the new County Development Plan we are focusing on providing a quality programme for our young people to enjoy and as I'm sure you are aware Headquarters have been working on a new digital programme planning tool for Cubs. It aims to provide great programme content for Cubs and make planning a quality balanced programme easier. The tool is designed to start with basic functionality and will be especially helpful for Young Leaders and Cub Leaders new to Scouts.
It has been specifically designed to complement other tools that are already used in the administration of Scouting, such as OSM, and provides access to our badge and activity content, helping leaders plan sessions with their sections using live and up-to-date information. I have been using over the last week and have found it really useful and helps assist with achieving a quality programme to ensure that Cubs can gain the Chief Scouts Silver Award during their time in the section. There are number of pre-prepared meetings and activity ideas included for each badge along with hints and tips on how to customise the programme to ensure all Cubs are included.
I would be grateful if you let me know if you have any feedback about the programme planner and activities etc included within it.
