2019 Regional 4-H Congress Held
The 2019 Regional 4-H Congress was held on Saturday, May 18th at the Northeast Alabama Community College campus in Rainsville, AL.  Forty 4-H members from Etowah County earned the right to attend by winning their respective categories in county 4-H Contests.  Etowah County was well represented! The Alabama Cooperative Extension System, the primary outreach organization for the land-grant mission of Alabama A&M University and Auburn University, delivers research-based educational programs that enable people to improve their quality of life and economic well-being. In 2018, Alabama Extension reached 1 in 3 Alabama residents. That's more than 1.4 million people.

Alabama 4-H provides meaningful opportunities for all youth and adults to work together to create sustainable community change. This is accomplished within three primary content areas–civic engagement and leadership, healthy living, and science. These areas also reiterate the founding purpose of Extension through agriculture (e.g., community leadership, quality of life, and technology transfer) in the context of twenty-first century challenges and opportunities.

Published by the Alabama Cooperative Extension System (Alabama A&M University and Auburn University), an equal opportunity educator and employer.  Everyone is welcome!
