Boselli Teaching Fellowship - Applications close this week!
The Boselli Teaching Fellowship provides TFA teachers in K-6 classrooms with professional development opportunities to cultivate skills in the areas of cultural responsiveness and engaging literacy instruction. This year-long program for those entering their third to fifth year of teaching seeks to develop effective educational leaders serving students in Jacksonville’s highest areas of need. Jax Prism Executive Board Applications Open
JaxPrism is exited to be opening it's Executive Board applications for the 2019-2020 term. JaxPrism, a growing LGBTQ+ Advocacy Group for Queer educators and their allies, is looking to fill several positions on the Executive Board, including Executive Co-Chair, Community Engagement Chair, and Advocacy Chair. JaxPrism has ambitious goals for the coming year, and would love your voice and support in making them happen. Applications are open to all local TFA Alumni and community members.

Over $25,00 Raised!
Teach For America Jacksonville was 7th in the nation for the percentage of alumni donations during the alumni challenge. This speaks to the amazing generosity and commitment of you our alumni and we are humbled by this show of support. Collectively, over $25,000 was raised between alumni contributions, donor matches and national grants. THANK YOU!

Volunteer During 2019 Induction - June 9th - 13th
Sign up today for one of the many great ways to help welcome our newest class of corps members to Jacksonville. In particular there is a need for help checking in corps members, driving CMs around for the housing tour and spots are still open for the Welcome BBQ at Boone Park on June 9th, and the Jumbo Shrimp Game on June 10th.

Join TFA Jax Serves and the new, 2019 TFA Jax Corps Members June 11 th from 8:30-10:45 am at YMWLA at Butler Middl School for a morning of service and community fun events including: garden projects, Zumba, Jacksonville Public Library readings, mural painting, and more. This time of year offers many transitions for TFA alumni across the country. Stay connected to the mission and vision of Teach For America by updating your contact information on the teachforamerica.org website. PLEASE NOTE: your alumni region is connected to your address zip-code. If you know you will be moving to another state, updating this information will help you get connected to your new region. However, if you plan to stay in Jacksonville, or want to continue to get information from us, please reach out to Amanda to let us know. Additionally, updating your email address will change how you receive communications from the national organization. If you know someone who has been out of the loop share this information with them!
