Crime and Courts Reporter – High Point Enterprise - High Point, NC 
Since 1873 NCPA has supported North Carolina newspapers, readership and advertising. We work to protect the public's right to know through the defense of open government and First Amendment freedoms, and we help maintain the public's access to local, state and federal governments. NC Press Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary, works with clients to provide one-call advertising solutions (online, mobile and print) and press release services in North Carolina and nationwide.

We need someone who understands that this beat is a vital and exciting one that requires a journalist who can balance producing for the daily news cycle, promoting stories on our website and social media as well as larger projects. The ideal candidate will have degree in journalism or equivalent experience, knowledge of AP style, some photography skills and experiencing with connecting with readers through social media. 

In our newsroom, ideas and opinions are respected and valued. We’re a fun, hard-working group who takes pride in what we do. 
Reporters work a rotating weekend shift, one weekend every five weeks.
