Yearbook Distribution: Tomorrow!

There are a limited number of yearbooks that will be sold on a first come CASH ONLY basis, $15.00 for softcover and a few hardcover for $20.00 before school on Friday morning, May 31, 2019.  Please have exact change if possible.  We are asking parents/students to form a line outside the main entrance by the sign posted on the brick wall.  We will be handing out numbers to those in line outside before the sale starts.  Yearbook sales will start inside at 9:10AM for those who received a number.  As mentioned earlier, exact change is preferred.

Grade 5 Party: Tomorrow!

Our fifth grade students will be saying goodbye to Parkview with a party after school on Friday, May 31 from 6 - 8PM.

As we plan for the next school year, it is very important we know if students will not be returning to Parkview in the fall.  If your family will be moving before the end of the summer, or if your child will be attending a different school, we urge you to inform the office as soon as possible so our class lists will accurately reflect our enrollment.  We are aware of families attending East Lake Elementary so there is no need to notify us.

If you have a fifth grade student and are not planning on sending them to Scott Highlands Middle School, please contact us with the new school information.

Last Week Lunch Menus

Here is the menu for both breakfast and lunch in the cafeteria for the last week of school. Each school is independent so it will not be posted on the district website.

MUSIC SHARING DAYS
Sharing is optional and will take place during music class on the day listed below. Students may share the singing of songs, playing of an instrument on which they’ve practiced, “show and tell” of a musical item, etc. This is not a time to have them play their favorite CD, but rather to be making the music themselves. We look forward to hearing and seeing what types of musical activities they take part in outside of Parkview school, and allowing them to gain confidence and poise by presenting in front of their class. (Electronics are discouraged due to the possibility of loss/theft/damage. Consider taking a picture or video to demonstrate music-making and send it electronically to me: Katherine.Herzberg@district196.org)

Box Tops for Education

Big changes are coming to the Box Tops for Education Program, and you’re the first to know! Over the summer, you'll begin to see some participating brands change their packaging from the traditional Box Tops clip to the new Box Tops label.

Going forward, instead of clipping from packages and checking expiration dates, all Box Tops will be earned digitally by scanning your receipt. The Box Tops for Education team is hard at work building a NEW-and-improved, user-friendly Box Tops mobile app that will be ready this summer.

In the meantime, keep gathering the cut-out versions during the summer so we can send in one final batch before fall.
