Summer Garden, Sun & Activities!

The days keep getting longer and sunnier, and we're not complaining! Our distillery garden is planted and growing, and starting this week we're putting out the patio furniture so you can enjoy cocktails al fresco. We're also working on some new drinks for our cocktail menu, pulling in more fresh summery flavors as we wait for our distillery garden to mature. Read on for the latest news, including some fun upcoming events, summer-inspired cocktails, and tasting room news.
 

Open Cornhole
We're not hosting a cornhole league this summer, but that doesn't mean you can't still drop by for a game! We'll have the boards and bags out from 7-9 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Stop by with a friend (or a few) and enjoy the summer nights with a little bit of friendly competition - if there's interest, we might even hold a tournament - let us know!


New Event Series: Distilling History with the Lake Bluff History Museum
Yesterday we kicked off a new event series with the folks at Lake Bluff History Museum, and it was a rousing success! It was so interesting to hear about local history, and the story behind that historical marker on Route 176 that some of us drive past every day! If you missed this event, don't worry - due to the great interest, we're hosting the same presentation again on the Great Rondout Train Robbery on July 17th at 7 pm. • Thursday 6/5, 7-9 pm - North Shore Night at Tavern in Libertyville - We'll be back at Tavern tonight for our monthly cocktail party! Stop by to say hi to Sonja and enjoy new cocktail specials with us. We'll have three brand new drinks using strawberries for you to try, and spirited samples too!
   
• Sunday, 6/9 - Summer Cocktail Class at Gorton Center in Lake Forest - Join Sonja for another fun cocktail class. We'll make & taste a variety of great cocktails for your summer soirees and patio sipping! Get a ticket here for the class at Gorton, or read on for the same class at the distillery on 6/13.
   
• Tuesday 6/11 - We'll be opening late this day due to a seminar we are hosting for bartenders - stop by any time after 4:30 pm for Tiki Taco Tuesday (Korean beef tacos next week)!
   
• Wednesday 6/12, 7 pm - This month's Boozy Bookclub pick is Educated by Tara Westover.
   
• Thursday 6/13, 7pm - Summer Cocktail Class - Join Sonja for another edition of this fun cocktail class, where we'll make & taste a variety of great cocktails for your summer parties (this is the same class as the Gorton one above)! Tickets here.
   
• Wednesday 6/19 - Save-A-Pet Day - We're donating 20% of all our sales that day to Save-A-Pet, a great local no-kill animal shelter. Stop by for a cocktail or a bottle, and help support a great organization that helps homeless animals in our area.
   
• Saturday 6/22, 6-10pm - Midsommar Celebration - Mark your calendar for one of our favorite events of the year! This traditional Scandanavian celebration of the longest day of the year will feature special cocktails, flower crowns, paper witches and more - including shots of aquavit, of course!
