Summer Love Everyone!
It’s a been a jam-packed couple of weeks, well really months if we start with my Berklee College, end of year performance of the 2nd section of A Rose Out Of Concrete (w/Hank Shocklee 2018) an interdisciplinary work in progress. The 2nd Act; The Digital Forest w/Berklee Students and Faculty presented at Berklee College in Boston at the end of April. And of course, I have to shout out all the folks who made the month of May so incredible. To the ROCK SOLID WOMEN’S FESTIVAL: We came, we saw, we conquered - Kat Dyson, Divinity Roxx, Shirazette Tinnin, Be Steadwell, Judy Gold, Vivian Sessoms, Ali Caldwell, Betty, Sarah Jaffe, The Ki Ki Experience, Ultra Naté, Liza Colby, Sophia Ramos. So grateful and inspired by all the phenomenal women and men who shared their talents on the Gramercy Theatre stage that night! Thank you to The Shed, LATASHÁ and Carrie Mae Weems, Lela Harper, Ashley August, Imani Nia, Rosangelica Lopez, Monique Letamendi, Bembona, the Illuminator, and the entire POWERPLAY team. And Congratulations to The Limon Dance Company who recently premiered new choreography by Francesca Harper at the Joyce Theater, with an original composition by yours truly. Now let's dive into this season of music festivals, performances in the park and outdoor excursions.
