GET INVOLVED

The Council is calling for applications from teachers, leaders and teacher educators for three of our panels. These are casual, part time, paid opportunities to help with important decision-making at the Council.
Are you an experienced teacher, with a sound moral and ethical barometer?
Apply for the Registration Panel which makes decisions on applications for registration where a teacher's registration or practising certificate has previously been declined or cancelled.

Do you have excellent judgement?
Apply for the Disciplinary Tribunal, which is a quasi-judicial body that considers teacher conduct and competence issues.

Are you an experienced teacher or leader with assessment or curricula expertise?
Apply for the Initial Teacher Education Panel which assesses whether ITE programmes meet the new ITE Programme Approval Requirements.
Take part in a learning exchange with Australian educators

We have been working with Social Ventures Australia with the aim of creating a 'learning partnership' with education neighbours across the ditch. Centres and schools in Wellington, Auckland and Christchurch are invited to host a group of Australian educators to listen and share learning during the period of September 16 to 30, 2019. Is your school or centre interested in hosting?
