Help us Keep our Bayou Plastic Free!
|
|
Our hard-working field crew at BBP is on Buffalo Bayou daily to diligently clean-up thousands of one-time use plastics and other garbage that come from the streets, highways and storm drains. However, cleaning it up isn't the solution - decreasing your use of one-time plastics is. Choose to refuse single-use plastics during the entire month of July (and hopefully beyond!) during Plastic Free July. We're making the pledge and hope you will too!

Witness the Waugh Bat Colony Emergence
Watch our Mexican free-tailed bats fly
Summer is the peak time for viewing the incredible bat emergence along Buffalo Bayou. Every evening, about 30 minutes before sunset, you can watch thousands of bats take flight from underneath Waugh Bridge as they begin their evening insect feeding. You can also join BBP every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month for bat tours aboard our pontoon boat! See times and tickets here.
