It's allergy season.

I'm sure everyone has been waiting for spring and flowers, but did we have to have them start blooming all at once? 5 days of sinus headaches puts a damper on a lot of things.

The flowers sure will be pretty though. Lilacs and apple blossoms and violets like a carpet on my lawn.

Speaking of apple blossoms, I was also working on our Row by Row block. This year's theme is "Taste the Experience" and since we live in the land of apple orchards, it is indeed apple themed.

I can see the end of my to-do pile and with the nicer weather can get to gardening too - like many of you. And also picking new fabrics from a new supplier - so tempting to get all the florals!

At least floral fabrics don't make me sneeze. ;)

From the web:

I read a lot of blogs and posts from quilters all over the world. Here's a few things that caught my eye this week. Hope you enjoy!
  • Somewhere I had seen this link and forgot clean about it, then my mom sent it to me. Thanks Mom! It was all about the Sewing Machine Kings. I'm fascinated by how little sewing machines have changed, fundamentally. Here's a bonus gif!
  • Here's a report on trends seen at Quilt Market earlier this month. Some things are just timeless.
  • This link has also made the rounds, "There's a Dramatic Beef in the Quilting Community, Over a Pair of Scissors" Huh. That's a weird way to phrase "Serious copyright infringement in the craft industry".
  • If you're like me, when you get some down time you start cleaning and reorganizing and making things better. I've been thinking about cutting tables and something better for in the shop. This post was helpful, although can your cutting table every really be too big?

That's all till next week!
