Planning for School & Life - Personal Leadership & Professional Development - Patriotism in Action
Barefield and Dunn Dedications
An additional special event this past month included dedicating the Barefield Flag Pole and the Dunn Dogwood in support of patriotism in action as well as educational lessons for students.
The flag pole flies and supports America's Flag in honor of Col. Bob (USA Ret) and Nancy Barefield for their work in Patriotism in Action since 2005. Bob and Nancy have led on key programs added by Life Leaders after the "9-11" attacks, particularly Personal Leadership for Patriots and the Tribute to the Founder of Veterans Day at the Raymond Weeks Memorial.
The Dunn Dogwood was planted the day Col. C.H. "Stretch" Dunn (1943-2017) died. The dogwood came from Arbor Day festivities at UAB donated by Kyle Crider. Stretch served as trustee, seminar teacher, and co-author of two books with Dr. David Dyson, Professionalism Under Stress and Patriotism in Action.
We hope you enjoy the photos highlighting this meaningful event. The event was hosted at Triple D Ranch and Farm, home of Life Leadership Ranch education events and office.
You can see and use sample lessons for 10 character traits from the book that tells how National Veterans Day started in Alabama, Patriotism in Action.
