On the eve of the European elections, Luca Jahier, President of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) visited the ELP fellows. 

"We need to forge a new positive narrative for Europe," he said, "and revive civic engagement to harvest a sustainable future."

Herman Van Rompuy, former President of the European Council, talking at the ELP, stated: "Europe is still a peace project, a beautiful one."
New leader for Justice in Mining
Brussels, Jun. 11
Guillermo Otano, advocacy officer for Alboan, has been appointed as a new leader of the Jesuit network Justice in Mining. 

"We speak out against the exploitation of miners. My work?" he said in this interview, "It will be inspired by the Universal Apostolic Preferences."
