June 17, 2019:  Town of Pendleton Tornado Recovery Update

Homeowners and Renters:

• If you have any type of damage, please fill out the Madison County LTRG Disaster Initial Intake/Assessment Form.  The form is available on the Town's website and at Town Hall.  
• The issues reported on this form help the Long Term Recovery Group understand what the needs are of the community.  For example, if you had a tree fall in your backyard but insurance won't pay for it to be removed, report that issue on this form. 
• The Long Term Recovery Group will then work to find solutions to these issues.  

Businesses and Commercial Building Owners:

• Please fill out the Business Assessment Loss Form to report any business losses and return to Town Hall.  This can be damage to your building, an inventory loss, equipment loss, or even revenue loss.  

Homeowners/Renters/Business Owners/Commercial Building Owners:

• THIS WEEK ONLY:  Please attend the Small Business Administration's Disaster Field Operations Center at Pendleton Elementary Intermediate School located at 301 S East Street (M-W from 9 am to 6 pm; Th from 9 am to 4 pm).
• Homeowners, Renters, and Businesses can apply for low-interest disaster loans from the US Small Business Administration.

Town departments are working to get back to usual business.  Here are a few reminders:

• Public Works and Utilities:  Electric customers having issues can call 765-778-2173 during business hours or 888-491-8194 after hours.  Bring limbs to the curb (not alley) and do not co-mingle trash with limbs.  Large trash pick-up is Wednesday and call Best Way in advance at 765-649-7272.
• Planning Department:  Permit applications are available at Town Hall or the Town's website.  Free roofing permits are available until July 1, 2019.  Certified arborists can be found on the International Society of Arboriculture website. 
• Park Department:  The North 40 Trails, the trail to the east of the Lighthouse Pond, and Frisbee Golf Course are still closed.  Use caution around taped-off areas.
• Police Department:  Solicitors must obtain a peddler's license.  If you have a concern, contact the police at 765-778-3933 (non-emergency issues only.  Call 911 for emergencies).
• Fire Department:  Please remember there is no burning in town except for recreational fires.  For emergencies, call 911.
