Pastor Ethan's Weekly Message to our Extended Church Family

Hello Trinity! Sarah Hopkins here, writing on behalf of Pastor Ethan while he is with our missions team in Tijuana, Mexico. I pray you all are well and that God's presence is a constant source of hope and peace no matter what life might look like right now.
As I type this, Ethan Moore, Matt Wyatt, Maria Schwaiger, Lisi Ferg and Miss Etta McCarthy are partnering with Carlos and Rose Montoya with La Roca Ministries in Tijuana. This ministry's staff and volunteers have been helping people who’s lives have been devastated by poverty, neglect and despair due to drugs, alcohol, and prostitution. La Roca seeks to rebuild lives by sharing the hope, faith, and love of Jesus Christ. Then, in following Jesus’ command to make disciples, they help train men, women and teens as future leaders and missionaries, eventually sending them back into the streets of Tijuana and the surrounding area to help advance the Kingdom of God on earth.
Our team has already worked with so many men, women and children who are all desperately seeking the same thing - salvation. The glorious hope of the gospel is ENOUGH! It is enough no matter where you find yourself - at the end of the painful road of addiction or in the despair of seeking hope in this world and coming up empty. God's saving work is enough for us all. It is this amazing gift that our team is bringing to the people they encounter in Tijuana - the same hope we rejoice in on Sunday mornings.
Please pray for our team. Pray that they each would set their minds and hearts on the work God is doing in Tijuana and that his name would be glorified in all that is said and done. Pray for Carlos and Rose as they fight the good fight every day. Pray that they would continue to cling to God's hope and truth even amidst the brokenness they are surrounded with day in and day out. We are so grateful to serve alongside La Roca Ministries!
We are going to have a wonderful guest speaker this Sunday while Ethan travels back home with the team. Scott Leonard will be preaching on what it looks like to mirror Jesus' mission to seek and save the lost. This message is exactly our heart behind sending teams to Tijuana, Utah and especially right here in our own community! What amazing timing to hear from someone else in our valley who also has a heart to see the gospel spread! Scott is a part of the local branch of Search Ministries.
