Artists, we know how hard you work at Paint Sea on Site, painting what you see all day, in all weather, as quickly and as well as you can.
Then you come to the Community Centre to watch the sales and bidding, fingers crossed.
It’s a long day…
So this year we'll have an Artists’ Lounge, where you can sit and relax with a glass of wine or beer from our bar, maybe have something to eat from the food trucks outside…and listen to the voice of Pat Watson, accompanied by David Findlay, Saturday, July 20, 5-6:30 pm.
Pat Watson describes her style as “classic jazz, silky smooth with a gospel touch.”

Dear Lunenburg Art Society Member (and friends),
Our annual fundraiser, Paint Sea On Site, is taking place this year on July 20 & 21. The gallery depends on the success of this event to keep going. You know the saying, “many hands make light work”, and we are hoping that many of you will volunteer to help over that weekend. In particular, this note is asking you to consider being an Art Board Monitor. This requires only about 3 hours of your time on either Saturday or Sunday or both days, whatever you can spare. HEREis a summary of what the job of monitor involves. Please read it over, give it some thought, and if you can help please get back to Melanie Cooke, macooke@eastlink.ca or 902-634-9428.
Thank you for considering this request. ~ Melanie
EXTRA SALES OPPORTUNITY FOR ARTISTS
This year, we'll create a gallery space in the Community Centre for each registered artist to display ONE piece of studio art, any size, any medium.
Let the buyers see your style while they wait for your fresh art to come in to the Centre. If they like it, they can buy it! Studio art will not be auctioned; it will be for sale at the price you put on it. If it sells, you may bring in a replacement piece.
Because this event is our fundraiser, we will retain the same commission as for your plein air work, so set your price accordingly. Please send the Title, Size, Medium, and Price of your Studio Art to Damara Garland, Artists Liaison, at artists@lunenburgartsociety.ca.
Please also send us your one-page Bio too. Let buyers learn a little about you.
That's all for this week! The Committee is working hard to make this 19th annual PSOS one to remember. Join us in any way that suits your talents.
