High Path update - Consultation event on Wednesday 19th June

Live on or near High Path estate? Following the outline planning permission, and the beginning of Phase 1 development, you can now comment on the detail of the Phase 2 proposals. We are glad to see Clarion took on board some feedback from the engagement phase. You have until 25 June to comment: 19/P1852 https://planning.merton.gov.uk/…/Plannin…/GeneralSearch.aspx

Clarion are just kicking of their consultation on Phase 3, the sections closest to the tube station. There's a consultation event on the initial ideas from Clarion for Phase 3 (the parts nearest the station). This Wednesday 19th June at Merton Abbey Primary School, High Path, SW19 2JY from 5pm – 8pm. Come along, take a look, have your say.

Ideas for improving the local area that need small grants?
Merton Council has set aside £15,000 for our ward to use over the next 3 years for small-scale projects to improve the local area. To access the funding, we need great ideas from residents that we can discuss with the council. It must be for activities suitable for one-off funding.

Types of things that could be covered include: Bulb planting;  Painting fences or street light columns; Grants for community groups to undertake such work.

If you have ideas, drop us a line!

What else is going on in the area?

Merton Abbey Primary School's Ofsted Inspection has just been published - they judged it to be a "Good" school across the board! We are very happy for the school community, and are proud of the work the staff, governors, children and families have put in.

Speaking of schools, it's school fair season. So why not pop along to one of these, and have fun while helping to raise funds for our great schools:
  • All Saints Primary School Saturday 22nd June 11am-2pm at the Leyton Road site
  • Pelham Primary School Sunday 23rd June 12-3pm
  • St Mary's School Saturday 29th 1pm-4pm
  • Merton Abbey Primary School Saturday 6th 12.30-3pm

The new community garden at All Saints Rec off Leyton Road is developing well, but more volunteers are needed to help maintain and develop it. If you are able to help out, contact allsaintsgardensw19@gmail.com or go to https://www.facebook.com/AllSaintsCommunityGarden/

If you need help or have a question we are only a phone call away
