IEA Program Update

2019–20 IEA Parent & Private School Handbooks

The 2019–20 IEA Parent Handbook and 2019-20 Private School Handbook are now posted on the IEA web page (here). There have been numerous changes to the handbooks from the prior year’s editions based on feedback from parents, private schools, and other stakeholders.

Enrollment for the 2019-20 School Year

As a reminder, all account holders must complete the following steps to complete enrollment for the 2019-20 contract term.

 1. Read the 2019-20 IEA Parent Handbook posted on the IEA Webpage.
2. Complete and submit the IEA Contract and supporting documents by 3 p.m. CT on July 26, 2019. The department will email the 2019-20 Contract to approved applicants in mid-July 2019.
3. Notify your school district that your child will be participating in the IEA Program. You must notify your school district before August 1, 2019. The list of school district contacts (the IEA liaisons) is posted on the IEA webpage. The department recommends that applicants notify school districts in writing (e.g., email), and retain a written copy of the notice.
