June Mission of the Month Highlight
St. Mark loves Ronald McDonald House Charities! Thanks to all who helped serve dinner last Sunday for families staying at RMHC while their children are at Rady Children’s Hospital. We fed Father's Day dinner to more than 110 people and many came back for seconds! Thank you, Melissa Clark for leading this event, thank you, Thrivent, and thank you, Jesus! Please continue to pray for this important support organization in our community.

July Mission of the Month Preview
Feed My Starving Children
Friday, August 9th and Saturday August 10th
On August 9-10 at Faith Lutheran Church in Vista, St. Mark is partnering with other local Lutheran churches to put on a Feed My Starving Children food packaging event. Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is a Christian non-profit organization committed to feeding God’s starving children hungry in body and spirit. During the month of July, we will be raising funds to be able to put on this event. Together with other churches, we need to raise $24,000 and provide 500 volunteers! It will be an amazing undertaking to create over 100,000 meals to send around the world. Please consider helping us meet our goal by donating at https://give.fmsc.org/stmark. Sunday School/Adult Bible Study Summer Break
Sunday school and Sunday morning adult Bible study
will be taking a break for the summer as follows:
Sunday Adult Bible Study
On break through August 18th
Children’s Sunday School
On break from June 30th through August 18th
Thursday Morning Bible Study
On break starting June 27th through July 25th
During the church service, staffed nursery care is provided in the Toddler Room upstairs for children under six years old. We also have a Cry Room available for parents with babies in a loving and secure environment.

Congregational Meeting
Sunday, June 30th after Church
There will be a short meeting following the service to elect officers for the coming church year. Please plan to attend this very important meeting. The installation of officers will be held on Sunday, July 7th during our regular worship service.

Kids Summer Movie Nights
Friday Nights - July 5th, July 19th, and August 2nd
6 pm to 8 pm
To build anticipation for ROAR VBS, we are inviting families to join us for summer movie nights! Each movie will be an African-animal themed favorite. Bring a friend! Suggested donation $5-10/family to cover the cost of snacks, with any extra being donated to VBS. RSVP to kbeyer86@gmail.com or sign up on Sunday.

Beach Nights @ Moonlight Beach
Wednesday, July 10th and Wednesday, August 14th
Join us on the second Wednesday in July and August from 6 to 8 pm at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas. We will provide hot dogs, brats, a campfire, and s’mores! Bring a side to share, your beach chair and you! This is a casual event focused on fellowship and getting to know each other even better. St. Mark Men's Group
Saturday, July 13th @ 7 am
Our next Men's group will take place on Saturday, July 13th at St. Tropez (947 S. Coast Hwy 101, Encinitas, CA) at 7 am. Our goal is to meet at least bi-weekly to encourage one another in our walk with Christ, and to talk about what it means to be a husband, a father, and a man in our congregation and our community. Vacation Bible School Donations
We are wrapping up our spring donation drive for Vacation Bible School. It's not too late to participate! We are still taking monetary donations. You can pick up a VBS envelope on the registration table or simply mark an envelope "VBS" and place it in the offering plate. Checks can be made out to St. Mark Lutheran Church and write "VBS" in the memo line. You can also go onto our church website at www.stmarkchurch.net and click the "giving" tab, scroll down to "VBS", click on it, and donate. Any donations are greatly appreciated.
Registration is filling up fast so if you have a registration packet for your children and you haven't turned it in, please do so soon. Volunteers are still needed as well.
