My thanks to all of you for your participation in the System Conference 2019! Thanks also for the extremely positive feedback we have already received. I hope you can find the time to complete the conference evaluation which has been distributed.
Amongst the many comments I have received, is the important issue that we have presented ourselves as a system of schools. Hopefully more than ever we value collaboration for school improvement. Hopefully we also acknowledge as an office and schools that presenting a highly professional image to our staff and school communities is critical. Our schools currently present a very professional image and this is critical to sustaining our enrolments.
The follow up to the conference is critical to ensuring our learnings are built on in the next few years. These learnings need to be aligned with our three year Strategic Plan (2019 - 2021). I suggest the following are key areas to consider in aligning to the plan:
* CSO Armidale Pastoral Care and Wellbeing Framework (reviewed through the lens of academic pastoral care)
* Differentiation of the curriculum
* Wellbeing of staff (Matchfit for Work and Play)
* Building Community (staff, students, parents, parish)
I feel sure that the evaluations and further conversations will help to refine my observations. We hope to be able to put together professional development that will provide any follow up that schools see as important and that aligns to our strategic plan. I will pursue this conversation at the Principals Association Leadership Team meeting next week.
Best wishes to all of you at this busy time as you navigate reports and the end of semester learning agenda.
