Make sure you have your say on BID2
Please be aware that you now have less than two weeks to vote on a second term for the Northwich Business Improvement District.

The ballot closes at 5pm on Thursday 27th June and the result will be declared on Friday 28th June or as soon as possible after that date.
Since its inception in 2014 the BID has created, delivered and overseen a wide range of projects in Northwich to make it a better place for shoppers, workers, businesses and visitors alike.

This includes the development of the Visit Northwich website, dedicated PR and Social Media support for businesses, the running of seasonal Extravaganzas, provision of free training courses for retailers and their employees, investments into street cleansing and floral displays and marketing support for externally-led events such as Now Northwich, the CW9 Festival and the Northwich River Festival.

The BID has also helped the town receive national recognition in both the North West in Bloom and Great British High Street Awards and has curated an online audience of well over 10,000 to promote the town, its businesses and its attractions.
All of this would come to an end if businesses don’t vote yes by Thursday 27th June.

The BID is there for businesses so make sure you engage with the BID team and tell them what is most important to you and what you would like to see.

BID launch video series to promote town's businesses
The Northwich Business Improvement District has recently launched a new video series to promote some of the town’s retailers and shine a spotlight on the hidden gems that are waiting to be discovered in-store.

‘Live from Northwich’ sees the Visit Northwich team go live on Facebook once a week from a different town centre business, provide a tour inside the premises and highlight some of their products and services.
So far Store 101, HD Travel, Viva Café, Card Factory, Rosebank Sports and Hotpod Yoga have all been paid a visit, with the videos receiving over 14,000 views on Facebook already.

HD Travel, which is situated on Apple Market Street, has already seen the benefits of the Live from Northwich video series.

“We’ve been overwhelmed with how many people have been in to see us that haven’t visited us before,” said Travel Consultant Emma Savage.
“We were somewhat reluctant to do the filming initially, but people love it. We’ve also had lots more page likes on our Facebook page,” Emma added.

You can check out all of the Live from Northwich videos on the Visit Northwich website.

If you’re a business based within the Northwich BID area and would like to get involved please email NorthwichBID@groundwork.org.uk.

Town Council backs a second term for the Northwich BID
The Northwich Town Council has urged businesses to say yes to a second five-year term for the Northwich Business Improvement District.

Over the next 13 days, businesses within the BID area will vote on whether they would like the Northwich BID to continue for a further five years and NTC believe it would be a disaster for the town if retailers said no.
“We would be very disappointed if there wasn’t a BID2,” said Town Clerk Chris Shaw. “Working in partnership with the BID we have achieved so much over the last few years and the plan is to carry on with all the great projects and initiatives within the town.

“By working together with the BID we have been able to stage bigger and better events for the town and it also means we have additional help and support on those days,” Chris added.
