CITIES IN TX NEED YOUR HELP!
#VETOHB2439
House Bill 2439 has moved through the House and Senate, but still needs action from Governor Abbott before it becomes law. This Bill would prohibit cities from applying aesthetic regulations and would prohibit cities from requiring any installations or construction methods other than the minimums in the National Building Code.
June 16th is the last day for Governor Abbott to sign bills into law from Session, but HB 2439 can be signed or vetoed any moment. Although the Session ends tomorrow, this effort will not be over until the Governor signs or vetoes this Bill. We still have the opportunity to illustrate opposition to this Bill, so please click on the link below to sign the petition. The APA-Texas Chapter is also working with our partner organizations to help us in opposting HB 2439.
