SHOUT OUT!

We believe congratulations are in order as our Chopin teacher, Ms Boudine Adams, graduated on 16 May, officially obtaining her Diploma in Early Childhood Development.  We are so proud of her for achieving this great milestone!

A very big “hip hip hooray!” goes out to Teacher Gabi in the Mozart and Beethoven class, who tied the knot on Saturday, 8 June.  We wish her and her husband everything that is beautiful on their exciting new page of life.

OVERFLOWING WITH GRATITUDE:

We are so appreciative of everyone who made our third term charity drive such a huge success.  Thank you very much for supporting us with this initiative and for making a difference to all the children in desperate need. Teacher Tashai will be running the "cashless fashion store" on the 28th of June. Feel free to go to their Facebook page www.facebook.com/togetherwerisepsa to see the difference a little love can make. Thank you for being part of the change we so desperately need in our world - Our Capriccio! families are amazing!

With love & appreciation,
Teacher Tashai

HIGHLIGHTS FROM TERM 2

We had so many highlights this term, but one of the greatest must have been the visit from Zip Zap Circus.  Thank you again to Christine, a mom in our school, for helping to make the event such an unforgettable experience for all our children.

The Gr R’s and 1’s had a celestial adventure visiting the Planetarium and we were fortunate enough to have many parents join in the fun.

Special moments were shared between our beaming little learners and their proud parents at our Book Brag events.

Our Paddocks Kids Fun Day was a great success once again and our little ones charmed their way through some mesmerizing dance moves, however we cannot dismiss our exuberant moms jumping in to show us how it is really done on the dance floor! Thank you once again to everyone who came to support us in sharing the Capriccio! spirit with our community.
FROM THE OFFICE:

Mid-year hygiene supplies:  If you have not yet brought your little one’s mid-year supplies, we kindly ask that you please send 2 x packs of baby wipes (Pigeon brand preferable) per child.

Late collections:  We would like to gently remind parents that our closing time for Aftercare is 4.50pm.  We do realise that especially during rainy weather Cape Town traffic does present quite a challenge, but we ask that you please do your utmost to be on time and notify the office timeously if you may be running a few minutes late.  Our staff commute and some live quite a distance from the school, therefore when there are late collections, it makes it very hard on our Aftercare staff who then arrive home much later than usual.

Early arrivals:  As outlined in our Parent Info, we have a set early arrival time slot of 7.25 – 7.30am available for parents needing to drop their little ones off earlier than normal.  This arrangement has to be made in advance (either on occasion or permanently) with Rosina. Our drop-off time then resumes at 7.45am until 8.30am, as prior to this, we have our staff devotions and morning meeting, to prepare for the school day.  We kindly ask parents to please respect this short time that we have, as it is an integral part of setting the tone for a successful school day.

PROGRESS REPORTS:

Please keep a look out for your little one’s Mid-year Progress Report in your inbox towards the end of the week.  We are so proud of all our little ones' achievements during the first half of the school year. There will be an opportunity to address any questions or concerns in this regard at our Parent-teacher meetings during the second week of the new term.

Wishing all our families health, wellness and warm, cosy cuddles for a fabulous, fun winter holiday. For those joining us for our first ever Holiday Club from next week, see you soon!

Warmest wishes,
Elbe, Rosina & Team
