Recap of the June 2019 Sask Nonprofit Summit

We had an enthusiastic group of nonprofit sector leaders from across the province attend the Saskatchewan Nonprofit Partnership (SNP) Summit in Saskatoon on June 7, 2019. This summit provided an opportunity for leaders of the sector to network, explore current and future priorities for the nonprofit sector in Saskatchewan, and consider potential models for how the sector can collaborate to address these priorities.

Our incredible lineup of guests shared their respective nonprofit sector network models from across Canada, including Arlene MacDonald from the Community Sector Council of Nova Scotia; Russ Dahms from the Edmonton Chamber of Voluntary Organizations and Alberta Network of Nonprofit Organizations; Shellie Pociuk on behalf of the Ontario Nonprofit Network; and Tracey Mann from the Saskatchewan Nonprofit Partnership. Their presentations have been combined into a PDF and can be found on our website

The afternoon was made up of interactive table discussions facilitated by Shad Ali from On Purpose. Participants had the opportunity to reflect on the information presented throughout the day and explore ideas around what SNP can look like as a network model for the Saskatchewan nonprofit sector. Participant’s voices are critical in helping us identify what the path forward might look like in Saskatchewan.

We want to extend a special thank you to our guests for enlightening and motivating us with the valuable work of your nonprofit networks, keeping the sector strong across Canada. And thank you so much to everyone who attended and shared their questions, excitement, and ideas with us. Stay connected with SNP for the results of this energizing Summit.
