The Barbershop Harmony Society has formulated a new format to our International Contest for quartets and choruses as a result of the adoption of the Everyone in Harmony vision. This will have an impact on our quartets and choruses as it accommodates male/female/mixed choruses and quartets including, but not limited to:
- Expansion of district contests to include female and mixed quartets and choruses (and, therefore, in our case our division/regional contests)
- Expansion of international contests to include female and mixed quartets and choruses
- Minimum qualification scores for entry into the International contests for both quartets and choruses
- Elimination of ‘guaranteed’ district representation at both international quartet and chorus contests
