This week digital therapeutics solutions company One Drop showcases 8-hour blood glucose forecasts for users with type 2 diabetes, a new study shows AI can be better than doctors at diagnosing skin cancer and a report by the McKinsey Global Institute says UK companies not investing in AI could lose 20% cash flow.
The UK government has announced an investment of up to £18.5 million to support diversity in artificial intelligence and data science roles.

The move is part of the broader government plan of investing £780 million to support tech and innovation in the country.

Digital therapeutics solutions company One Drop has announced an expansion of their app to include 8-hour blood glucose forecasts for users with type 2 diabetes.

The AI-powered app is called Predictive Insights, and it is the only one on the market able to provide glucose forecasts for people with this type of diabetes.

AI beats doctors at diagnosing skin cancer
Artificial intelligence would be superior to humans in diagnosing pigmented skin lesions, according to a new study led by experts at the Medical University of Vienna.

Published in The Lancet Oncology journal on Tuesday, the study examined the results of tests where 511 physicians competed against 139 computer algorithms.

British companies not investing in artificial intelligence may risk losing 20 per cent of their cash flow, according to a new report by the McKinsey Global Institute.

The new data also showed the AI gap between Europe and the US has already widened by 20 per cent in the past three years.
