Upper Peachtree Creek Stormwater Roadshow: An Informational Open House
Thursday, June 20, 2019 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

The goal of the Open House is to listen to the community and gather feedback about the Department’s stormwater projects and initiatives. Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn about stormwater. The Upper Peachtree Creek Roadshow is the second of seven open houses that target each of the 10 watersheds in the City of Atlanta. Come and let your voice be heard! The DWM stormwater team and community partners will be on hand to discuss our programs, and listen to your community’s goal, priorities, and feedback. We want to hear from YOU about the impact of stormwater in your community. Light refreshments will be provided.

Freedom Park Conservancy is seeking stories from neighbors
Freedom Park Conservancy is collecting information about the people and homes that used to populate Freedom Park. Right now they are particularly interested in 346-368 North Highland Avenue (also known as houses 520, 210, 514, 524 before 1928) in what was Copenhill. If you have something to share about any of the homes that were demolished for I-485 or the Stone Mountain Tollway, please reach out to Laura@freedompark.org!

New Youth Host Home Program in Atlanta
Inspiritus is starting Atlanta's first Youth Host Home Program for Youth ages 18-24 who are experiencing homelessness with a special focus on serving LGBTQ youth and youth aging out of foster care. The host home program is a short term housing intervention whereby host volunteers open up their hearts and their homes to youth for weekend long up to 9 months while we provide wrap around services to the youth and help link them to permanent housing solutions. TurnTable Yoga at Ponce City Farmers Market
Back by popular demand, TurnTable Yoga will be held at Ponce City Farmers Market the first Tuesday of every month from 6:15-7:45pm. Powered by Fitness app Activvely, the fun yoga series is led by CorePower Yoga - Ponce City Market and features a live DJ spinning a different genre of music (think 90’s, trap, EDM, Mashup and more) each class.
