Intensively Reared & Biosecure for Indoor Systems
To help promote, stimulate and advance the production of walleye for food fish aquaculture in Wisconsin, UWSP NADF is offering walleye fingerlings to aquaculture or aquaponics facilities.
The fish are currently around 2" and 1 month post hatch. They have been intensively, pellet reared from hatch and are biosecure to stock indoor systems. Wisconsin schools and farms will have first priority. These walleyes are surplus fish leftover from larval research projects.
For more details or if interested, please email UWSP NADF Outreach Specialist, Emma Wiermaa: ewiermaa@uwsp.edu the following information:
• Fish Farm Registration Number (even if you have a school system or pilot project, you need to be registered through DATCP)
• Culture System Detail (We ask that the fish remain on commercial feed and in indoor systems. They make great candidates for recirculation or aquaponics systems).
• Fish Purpose or Project
• Number of Fingerlings Requesting
