In April, we began exploring my top tips for joyfully embracing your leadership.
Last month we explored setting expectations by respecting one another, helping each other grow our skills and respecting the puppets as tools used for sharing the Gospel.
|
|
|
|
My final tip, Have Accountability. Here are some ideas:
- Be available and affirming for your team and leadership. Your encouragement means more than you think.
- Encourage honesty. Don't let problems fester. Be open with each other.
- Discourage setting unachievable goals that can lead to burn out. This is a marathon, not a sprint. A successful ministry is sustainable for the long-haul.
And remember to have fun! Do things together apart from practice and presentations to grow the team towards who they are as part of a faith-based, loving, Christian community serving God through hands and voices.
