Meet Micah! A 12 week old puppy who is about the size of a 8 week old due to being so malnourished. When she was first found, we were really worried that she would not make it. Micah was extremely weak and would cry out in pain with any movement. She was infested with all of the parasites imaginable and emaciated.
Fortunately, our friends over at VETSS were able to get her stabilized and safe enough to be sent into a foster home for continued care and monitoring.
Because Micah spent many days at the emergency vet, her bill has reached over $1,000.
With so many pets in need coming through our days everyday, we struggle being able to keep up with all of the medical bills that come along with it.
And even though Micah is not fully out of the woods yet, she is doing so much better than she was!
VETSS - Veterinary Emergency Treatment Service & Specialty, has graciously allowed donors to call them directly at 434-973-3519 to help lower her bill.
If you are able to help at all, all you have to do is let them know you are making a payment toward the Fluvanna SPCA's vet bill. They can except credit cards over the phone, but no checks at this time.
